5 I installed the PC driver, but I cannot print.
- USB connection error: click on the Windows key and search “Device Manager.” Check if there is “USB Printing Support” under “Universal Serial Bus Controllers.” If “USB Printing Support” is not found, follow the instructions below.
- Connect the printer to another USB port.
- If the printer used to work with other PCs, the printer may not be recognized due to the weak power of your current PC’s USB port. Use a powered USB hub to connect the printer.
- Reinstall the Nemonic printer driver. (If the problem persists after reinstalling, delete it and reinstall it again.)
- Change the cable if an extra one is available.
- Printer driver error: delete your printer driver and reinstall it. Don’t forget to remove your USB cable while installing the program.
4 Printout does not fit in the paper size
Please check whether the paper setting is incorrect. The standard paper size is 3”x2”. When you use the Nemonic mobile app, check whether you changed the paper size: from the submenu, select the Change Memo Size icon, then tap the applicable size icon.
If you print from a PC, set the printing size to the paper size once again before printing. Click on Printer Properties and select the paper size and orientation in the Printer Properties window. If the Edit window and the print preview window are identical, the printer properties are set correctly.
3 When I insert label paper, it comes out as cut in the middle
When you insert label paper into a printer that supports sticky paper only, it comes out cut in the middle.
- Check your printer model. The printer that supports label paper is marked “LABEL” at the front. The old Nemonic model does not have a label printing feature.
- Cartridge defect. Rarely, a defective cartridge can make the paper come out cut in the middle. In this case, replacing the paper is recommended. If you have another label cartridge, check whether the same symptom happens with it. If it is a cartridge problem, please contact the seller and exchange the cartridge.
- Printer defect. If the same symptom happens with all cartridges, a printer failure is highly probable. If your printer or cartridge fails, contact the seller you purchased from to exchange it.
2 Checking LED Indicators/ Beeps
If the right LED blinks and the printer beeps, the printer is unable to print. The beep pattern indicates the cause of the error.
- LED blinks and the beep repeats two times. This indicates there is no paper. It occurs when the paper has run out, or when you close the cover without pulling the paper slightly out of the paper outlet. Replace the paper cartridge with a new one, or reinstall the cartridge and pull the paper slightly out of the outlet.
- LED blinks and the beep repeats three times. This indicates a paper jam. Open the cover, remove the jammed paper, and insert the cartridge again.
- I closed the cover and the LED blinks. If it beeps once and the right LED blinks, the cover is still open. Close the cover fully until you hear a click.
- It stopped printing and the LED blinks. When you print tens of sheets continuously, the printer head temperature may rise. The Nemonic Label printer then pauses automatically to prevent overheating, and the right LED keeps blinking. Once the temperature returns to normal, printing resumes and the LED stops blinking.
1 No power is supplied
- Check the connection of the power cable.
- In rare cases, when the printer is connected to a power strip shared with a high-power device, the power may be too low for it to turn on properly. Connect it to another power strip to test.
If there is no problem with the power connection but the LED does not turn on, contact the seller you purchased from to exchange it.
